A/T SHUDDER DURING 1-2 UPSHIFT
PURPOSE
Some affected vehicles may experience a shudder condition at 1-2 upshifts during light to moderate throttle. To eliminate this condition, replace the 2-4 clutch plates and discs, and replace the 2-4 accumulator piston if it is the plastic type. Additionally, if there is excessive clutch friction material in the bottom of the transaxle oil pan, reverse flush and flow check the oil cooler and cooler lines.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1995-96 Eclipse models equipped with 2.0L non-turbocharged engine with automatic transmission identification codes before XXX-2592-XXXX.
