Evaporative Check Valve: Description and Operation

Fuel Check Valve:

PURPOSE
To keep liquid fuel from contaminating the Activated Carbon Canister.

OPERATION
Acting as a one-way valve, the Fuel Check Valve is designed to allow fuel vapors to enter the Activated Carbon Canister but block liquid fuel from entering. A Rollover Valve is incorporated into the Fuel Check Valve. It insures that continuity of air passage does NOT exist when the rollover valve is tilted more than 90°.
