Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection

PCV Test:

With engine running at idle:
^ Remove Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve from breather separator.
^ Note if hissing noise is present as air passes through it.
^ Place finger over valve inlet; a strong vacuum signal should be felt.
^ If not, check if valve or hose is plugged.
