Transverse Link and Ball Joint
Fig. 13 Removing Transverse Link And Lower Ball Joint:
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.
2. Remove stabilizer connecting rod from transverse link.
3. Remove cotter pin and locknut securing lower ball joint to knuckle.
4. Strike knuckle with a hammer to separate lower ball joint from knuckle.
5. Remove bolts and nuts shown in Fig. 13.
6. Remove transverse link and lower ball joint.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Final tightening of bolts and nuts must be done with vehicle at curb height and tires on the ground.
b. Check wheel alignment.
