Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection

Idle Air Control Valve-AAC Valve Test:

1. Disconnect the Idle Air Control Valve-Auxiliary Air Control (IACV-AAC) valve harness connector.
2. Check resistance of IACV-AAC valve with an ohm meter.
Should be approximately 10 ohms.

Idle Air Control Valve-Auxiliary Air Control Valve Components:

1. Remove the valve and inspect the plunger for sticking.
2. Inspect the spring for breakage.
Replace the valve if it fails the above tests.
