EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

EGR Temperature Sensor Inspection:

California Only
1. Immerse sensor in water at specified temperatures and check resistance with an ohmmeter.
2. Resistance should be approximately 85 ohms at 100° C (212° F).
3. Resitance should decrease as temperature increases.
4. Replace the sensor if it fails the above test.
