A/T Models

PURPOSE
The Cooling Fan Relay provides a way for the Engine Control Module (ECM) to control cooling fan speeds and time of operation.

OPERATION
Cooling Fan Relays are grounded by the ECM. This ground allows the relay to complete the circuit for cooling fan operation.
U.S.A. automatic transmission models have a 3-step control system. All Manual Transmission and (NON-U.S.A.) Automatic Transmission models have a 2-step control system.
