Starter Motor: Service and Repair

2. Remove air intake duct.
3. Disconnect starter wiring from starter.
4. Remove starter retaining bolts, then the starter as follows:
a. Raise and support vehicle and remove starter from under the vehicle.

5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque starter motor mounting bolts to 23-31 ft. lbs.
