Coolant Level Information

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives coolant level information from the engine coolant level switch. If the switch returns a signal indicating a low coolant condition, the PCM transmits a low engine coolant signal to the cluster over serial data line. The cluster then transmits the information to the Driver Information Center (DIC) and the DIC displays the LOW ENGINE COOLANT message.
