Fig. 4 Control Arm Mounting Bolt Removal:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove stabilizer link to control arm bolt.
4. Remove cotter pin and loosen nut from ball stud.
5. Using tool No. J-36226, or equivalent, separate ball joint from steering knuckle.
6. Remove control arm mounting bolts, Fig.4.
7. Remove control arm from frame.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten control arm mounting bolts to specifications.
