Goodwrench Program and Changes to On-Vehicle Repair Guidelines

Models:
1995-96 Oldsmobile Aurora
with 4.0L Engine (VIN C - RPO L47) and HYDRA-MATIC 4T80-E (RPO MH1) Transaxle

Service Guidelines

Full service overhaul and repair can now be performed on all Hydra-matic 4T80-E transaxles. Refer to your service manual for proper repair procedures.

The Goodwrench Transmission Assembly exchange program remains as an option.

To properly diagnose the 4T80-E transaxle and determine when a Goodwrench Transmission Assembly is indicated, it is recommended that transmission service personnel take the Hydra-matic 4T80-E Automatic Transaxle course 17001.19 and thoroughly understand the transaxle information in Section 6E and 7 of the proper Oldsmobile Service Information Manual.
