Park Brake Cable Replacement (Intermediate Cable)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise the vehicle and support.
2. Disconnect the intermediate parking brake cable (1) from the cable clip (2).
3. Disconnect intermediate cable housing from the cable retaining bracket.





4. Disconnect the intermediate cable (3) from the rear equalizer (1).
5. Disconnect the intermediate cable housing from the rear cable housing retaining bracket.
6. Remove the intermediate cable.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Route and install the intermediate parking cable into brake cable retaining brackets.
2. Connect the left (2) and right (5) rear parking brake cables to the intermediate cable (3), using equalizer (1).





3. Insert the intermediate cable (1) into the cable retaining bracket and lock the cable into place.
4. Connect front of the intermediate cable (1) to the front cable using the connecting clip.
5. Adjust the parking brake cable.
