Air Bag Warning

The driver information center (DIC) displays the AIR BAG PROBLEM message when the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) module determines that a problem exists with the SIR system. The DEC receives the SIR data from the instrument cluster. The data travels on the universal asynchronous receiving/transmitting (UART) B serial data line.
