Door Ajar Warning

The door jamb switch inputs provide door ajar information to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster transmits the data to the driver information center (DIC) through the universal asynchronous receiving/transmitting (UART) B serial data line. The DIC displays the appropriate message under the following conditions:
^ When the corresponding input is grounded.
^ When the gear selector is not in the PARK position or the NEUTRAL position.
