Knee Bolster Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: After a non-deployment accident, visually inspect the knee bolster and the reinforcement for damage or deformation. Any visible damage may indicate structural damage to the instrument panel assembly.

1. Remove the left sound insulator.
2. Remove the IP cluster trim plate.
3. Remove the fasteners (2, 4).
4. Remove the knee bolster trim panel (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the knee bolster trim panel (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners (2, 4).

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the sound insulator.
4. Install the IP cluster trim plate.
