Rear Door Removal and Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Open the rear door.
2. Remove the rear door conduit.
IMPORTANT: Manually close the rear door latch, stopping the rear door from closing fully.
3. Position the rear door against the striker.
4. Open the front door.
5. Support the rear door.
6. Remove the rear door body side hinge bolts with help from an assistant.
7. Remove the door with the help of an assistant.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the rear door to the vehicle with the help of an assistant.
2. Support the rear door.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
IMPORTANT: Use Loctite(R) Blue GM P/N 123453852 or the equivalent prior to the fastener installation.
3. Install the body side hinge bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the body side hinge bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
4. Trip the door latch to the open position.
5. Remove the rear door support.
6. Install the rear door conduit.
7. Adjust the rear door. Refer to Door Adjustment (All).
