Instrument Panel Compartment - Latch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Open the Instrument Panel (IP) compartment door.
2. Remove the IP compartment latch screws.
3. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to remove the retainer clip from the IP compartment.




4. Remove the IP compartment latch from the instrument compartment door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Align the instrument panel (IP) compartment latch with the IP compartment door.




2. Slide the retainer clip onto the IP compartment latch.
3. Route the lock rod into the IP latch.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the IP compartment latch screws.

Tighten
Tighten the IP compartment latch screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

5. Close IP compartment door.
