Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement - Rear Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the glass run channel in the area of the weatherstrip retainer.
2. Remove the outer belt sealing strip.
3. Loosen and rotate the fixed window.
4. Remove the screws from the rear door window weatherstrip retainer.
5. Pull the rear door window weatherstrip retainer from the door using a small flat-bladed tool to release the clips while pulling.
6. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip retainer from the rear door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Inspect the plastic clip retainers for damage prior to reinstallation of the window weatherstrip retainer.

Replace any damaged plastic clip retainers.




1. Align the window weatherstrip retainer to the door and drive screw hole.
2. Install the window weatherstrip retainers. Press the weatherstrip retainers down until the plastic clip retainers are fully seated.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Position the screws to the door window weatherstrip retainer.

Tighten
Tighten the door window weatherstrip retainer screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Rotate and tighten the fixed window.
5. Install the glass run channel in area of weatherstrip retainer.
6. Install the outer belt sealing strip.
