REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vacuum electric solenoid.




3. Disconnect the vacuum harness connector from the vacuum electric solenoid.




4. Remove the vacuum electric solenoid mounting screws.

IMPORTANT: Pull the vacuum electric solenoid straight down to release the tab from the slot in the HVAC module case.

5. Remove the vacuum electric solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the vacuum electric solenoid tab to the slot in the HVAC module case, then push up to seat the vacuum electric solenoid.
2. Install the retaining screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the vacuum electric solenoid mounting screws.

Tighten
Tighten the vacuum electric solenoid screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).




4. Connect the vacuum harness connector to the vacuum electric solenoid.




5. Connect the electrical connector to the vacuum electric solenoid.
6. Install the right side instrument panel insulator.
