Knee Diverter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening filler.
2. Remove bolts/screws from the Data Link Connector.
3. Remove the hood release lever.
4. Remove SIR connector clip.
5. Remove the bolts/screws from the knee bolster bracket.




6. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster bracket from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the instrument panel knee bolster bracket to the instrument panel.




2. Install the bolts/screws to the instrument panel knee bolster bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the instrument panel knee bolster bracket bolts/screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install SIR connector clip.
4. Install bolts/screws from the Data Link Connector.
5. Install the hood release lever.
6. Install the instrument panel steering column opening filler.
