REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Lower the rear suspension support to gain clearance for the rear wheel spindle rear rod-to-knuckle bolt. Refer to Support Replacement.

IMPORTANT: Use a transmission jack or suitable hoist stands to prop the rear suspension support.

4. Remove the rear wheel spindle rear rod-to-knuckle bolt, nut, and washer.
5. Remove the rear wheel spindle rear rod nut at the rear suspension support.
6. Push the rear wheel spindle rear rod-to-knuckle bolt forward enough to provide rear wheel spindle rear rod removal clearance.
7. Remove the rear wheel spindle rear rod.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear wheel spindle rear rod to the rear suspension support.
2. Push the rear wheel spindle rear rod retaining bolt through the rear wheel spindle rear rod bushing.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the rear wheel spindle rear rod to the rear suspension support nut.
- Tighten the rear wheel spindle rear rod to the rear suspension support nut to 140 Nm (103 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the rear suspension support. Refer to Support Replacement.
5. Install the rear wheel spindle rear rod to knuckle bolt and nut.
- Tighten the rear wheel spindle rear rod to knuckle retaining nut to 150 Nm (110 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Adjust the wheel toe angle. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment in Alignment.
