15-Step H, 8 Volts at Power Module

1. Place ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Disconnect 10 way electrical connector from [1][2]power module. Connect positive lead of voltmeter to terminal No. 2 of power module 10 way electrical connector and connect negative lead of voltmeter to terminal No. 9 or 10 of the 10 way connector.
3. Place ignition switch in RUN position.
4. If voltmeter is within 1 volt of battery voltage, replace [1][2]power module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the [1][2]power module, make sure the terminals in cavities 2, 9, and 10 are not spread apart so that they cannot touch the power module pins.
5. If voltmeter indicates 0 voltage, position negative lead of voltmeter to a good engine ground. If voltmeter now indicates within one volt of battery voltage, check power module ground for an open circuit. If voltmeter still indicates 0 voltage, check wiring from power module 10 way electrical connector terminal No. 2 for an open circuit to ignition switch.
