1. Remove carburetor from engine, then place in a suitable soft jawed vise.
2. Plug air and fuel inlets of carburetor to prevent entry of foreign matter.
3. Drill a 5/64 inch pilot hole at a 45° angle as shown, Fig. 19, then redrill pilot hole to 1/8 inch.
4. Drive out concealment plug using a suitable drift, Fig. 20, then blow away all metal chips using compressed air.
5. Remove impact plate, if equipped, Fig. 21, then reinstall carburetor using new gasket.
