Idle Speed Control (ISC) Motor

Fig. 32 ISC servo test. 1985-86 Conquest:

1. Connect voltmeter between connector terminal 3, Fig. 32, and injection mixer body. Do not disconnect ISC servo electrical connector.
2. Turn ignition switch off, then on for a minimum of 15 seconds. Voltmeter should indicate 11-13 volts, then momentarily drop to 1 volt or less before returning to 6-13 volts.
3. Replace ISC servo if voltage readings are not within specifications.
4. Turn ignition switch off and remove voltmeter, then disconnect electrical connector from ISC servo.
5. Measure resistance between connector terminals 1 and 4, Fig. 32.
6. If ohmmeter does not indicate 7-10 ohms, a short or open circuit is indicated and the ISC servo should be replaced.
