Revisions to sections detailing the 1985 turbocharger should be made in the following service manuals:

In these service manuals, the new water-cooled turbocharger is referred to as air cooled. Revise these sections as follows:

^ To the bottom of page 9-8 of service publication #81-270-5011 add "Turbocharger...Water-Cooled Type (with waste gate actuator) TC04-09B (G54B)"

^ To the bottom of page 9-5 of service publication #81-270-5013 add "Turbocharger...Water-Cooled Type (with waste gate actuator) TC05-12A (G54B)"

^ Page 9-97, service publication #81-270-5011 and page 9-53, service publication #81-270-5013 should be revised to read as follows (changes indicated in bold type):

REMOVAL

CAUTION: BEFORE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS REMOVED, CHECK TO INSURE THAT IT HAS COOLED DOWN.

1. Remove the heat protector.

2. Remove the oxygen sensor from the catalytic converter.

3. Remove the catalytic converter-to-turbocharger tightening nuts.

4. Disconnect the oil hose from the oil return pipe and timing chain case.
5. Remove the oil pipe from the turbocharger and oil filter bracket.

6. Remove the air intake pipe connecting bolt.

7. Disconnect the water pipe "A" and "B" from the turbocharger.

8. Remove the turbocharger mounting nuts and remove the turbocharger assembly from the exhaust manifold.
