1. Remove air horn, feedback solenoid plunger and air horn gasket.
2. Remove plastic float bowl insert.
3. Hold float bowl retainer firmly in place.
4. Push float down lightly against needle.
5. Measure float height from top of casting to top of float at a point 3/16 inch from end of float, Fig. 5.
6. If float level is too high, hold retainer in place and push down on center of float pontoon to obtain correct setting.
7. If float level is too low, proceed as follows:
a. Remove metering rods and feedback solenoid connector screw.
b. Count and record number of turns necessary to lightly bottom lean mixture screw.
c. Remove feedback solenoid assembly.
d. Bend float upward to adjust, then recheck float level.
e. Reassemble float bowl components, lightly bottom lean mixture screw and back out number of turns previously recorded, then install air horn.
