Lean Mixture Screw

Lean mixture screw must have at least its first six threads engaged in float bowl to ensure proper installation.
1. Install gauging tool C-4899 or equivalent over left metering rod guide and install solenoid plunger, Fig. 6.
2. Hold plunger against solenoid and, using tool C-4898 or equivalent, turn lean mixture screw until solenoid plunger contacts gauging tool.
3. Remove gauging tool.
