DR-13A Engine Coolant Sensor Calibration
This test must be done with a COLD engine.
1. Disconnect coolant sensor connector, then connect an ohmmeter between the sensor terminals.
2. Ohmmeter readings should be as follows:
a. At - 40---20°F resistance reading should be 382,000---22,000 ohms.
b. At 50---100°F resistance reading should be 36,000---3,300 ohms.
c. At 140---245°F resistance reading should be 3,900---176 ohms.
3. If readings are satisfactory, proceed to Test 14.
4. If readings are unsatisfactory, replace coolant sensor.
