DR-21A Checking Carburetor Idle Circuit

This test must be performed with engine at normal operating temperature.
1. Remove air cleaner, then connect a tachometer to engine. If equipped, disconnect and plug solenoid kicker vacuum hose.
2. Start engine, and momentarily accelerate to above 1100 RPM, then allow the idle speed to stabilize for two minutes.
3. With idle air blend hole plugged, engine speed should drop, then proceed to Test 22.
4. If engine speed does not drop, repair plugged idle circuit of carburetor.
