DR-32A Checking Engine Idle RPM
This test must be performed with engine at normal operating temperature.
1. Turn Off all accessories and lights. Jumper the radiator fan to run continuously. Ground the carburetor switch. Connect a tachometer to the engine.
2. Disconnect and plug, the EGR CVSCC valve vacuum connector, if equipped the oxygen system test connector, and solenoid kicker vacuum hoses. Remove the PCV valve, allowing it to draw outside air.
3. Start engine, and momentarily raise engine speed above 1100 RPM, then let idle stabilize for two minutes. Adjust idle speed to specifications if needed, and proceed to Step B.
