Codes 41 Thru 44

Code 41

Indicates a fault in the charging system. This code will appear if battery voltage from the ASD relay is less than 11.75 volts.




Code 42


Indicates a fault in the ASD relay circuit. This code will appear if, during cranking, battery voltage from the ASD relay is not present for at least 1/3 second after first distributor pulse. This code will also appear if, after engine stall, battery voltage is not off within 3 seconds after last distributor pulse.


Code 43


Indicates a fault in the interface circuit. This code will appear if there is no anti-dwell or injector control signal between the logic module and power module.




Code 44


On 1983-84 models, indicates internal failure in Logic Module. On 1985 models, indicates battery temperature is out of range.
