22A Charging System (Codes 41 or 41 47)

1. Connect a voltmeter to the battery and connect one end of a jumper wire to a good engine ground.
2. Start the engine and record the voltmeter reading.
3. Very quickly touch the other end of the jumper wire to the F2 terminal on the alternator and watch the voltmeter.
4. If voltmeter shows an increase in voltage Perform Step B.
5. If voltmeter does not show an increase Perform Step E.
