13C Sensor Calibration (MAP Sensor)
1. With logic module black electrical connector disconnected, disconnect vacuum hose from MAP sensor and connect a suitable hand held vacuum pump.
2. Connect a digital voltmeter between logic module black electrical connector terminal No. 19 and ground.
3. Apply 5 inches Hg to sensor and record voltage reading displayed, then slowly increase vacuum to 20 inches and record reading. Subtract voltage recorded at 20 inches from that recorded at 5 inches.
4. If voltage display is un-interrupted as vacuum is increased and differential in readings is 2.3---2.9 volts, locate and repair restriction in vacuum line to MAP sensor.
5. If voltage display is not as described in step 4, replace the MAP sensor.
NOTE: There is no wire in terminal No. 19, however, there is a pin connector in the logic module which is an access point for measuring Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor output voltage.
