16-Step D, Distributor Harness Ground Circuit

1. With distributor pick-up coil electrical connector disconnected, place ignition switch in the RUN position.
2. Connect positive lead of voltmeter to pick-up coil electrical connector terminal with gray wire and negative lead to a good engine ground.
3. If voltmeter indicates at least 4 volts, check wiring from terminal with orange wire of distributor electrical connector for an open circuit.
4. If voltmeter indicates 0 voltage, proceed to Test 16 step E.
