5B Checking Ignition Coil Wire

1. Disconnect ignition coil from distributor cap and ignition coil wire from coil.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals of ignition coil wire.
3. If ohmmeter indicates resistance 250---600 ohms per inch or 3,000---7,200 ohms per foot, proceed to Test 6.
4. If ohmmeter indicates no resistance, replace ignition coil wire.
