This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin 14-01-87, which should be removed from your files. An error was made in the red type printing used to highlight all revisions.

Idle Speed Control (ISC) Servo

1. Disconnect connector of ISC servo.

2. Check motor coil for continuity with a circuit tester (ohm range) between terminals "1" and "5". If resistance is 0 ohm or abnormally large, open or short circuit is in motor coil. Therefore, replace ISC servo assembly.


ISC servo motor resistance . . . 5-35 ohm at 20~C (68~F)


3. Make sure that there is no continuity between terminals "1" or "5" and carburetor float chamber cover. If there is continuity, short circuit is in coil. Therefore, replace ISC servo assembly.
