DEALER INSTRUCTIONS

EMISSIONS RECALL # 294T -- HC AND CO EMISSIONS


^ This service requirement applies only to 1986 and 1987 Model Year

Plymouth and Dodge Colt Vista 4WD vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine and Federal emission control system.


^ The following service steps are required:

- Clean the carburetor primary air bleed jet, secondary air bleed jet and choke shaft.

- Install a shim in the carburetor choke system.

- Replace the enrichment solenoid jet.


^ Repairs made to involved vehicles will be audited by the Environmental

Protection Agency (EPA). It is essential to complete each step of the service procedure exactly as specified. Failure to do so will be considered by the

EPA to be a violation, subjecting affected dealers to significant fines.
