E. Inspect the Enrichment Solenoid Jet


1. Disconnect the Enrichment Solenoid electrical connector.





2. Remove the Enrichment Solenoid (Figure 11).

3. Carefully remove the Enrichment Solenoid Jet.

NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the plunger guide and spring.





4. Verify the jet size. If the jet is stamped "95" (Figure 12), reinstall the jet.

5. If the jet was not stamped "95", install the supplied jet.

6. Install the Enrichment Solenoid and hand tighten.

CAUTION:
If the solenoid threads seem to bind when tightening by hand, do NOT use force. Loosen and retighten to remove burrs and avoid crossthreading.

7. Using the inch-pound torque wrench as before, tighten the Enrichment Solenoid to 26 in.lbs.

NOTE:
Do not over tighten the Enrichment Solenoid since this will distort the valve and cause an over rich condition.

8. Connect the Enrichment Solenoid electrical connector.
