J. Replace Carburetor (Only For Continued High CO Level after Idle Speed and Mixture Adjustment)

1. Replace the carburetor per the Service Manual procedure using the applicable carburetor as follows:

Part No. MD997251 - Automatic Transmission
Part No. MD997201 - Manual Transmission

NOTE:
Do not install a Choke Shim on the new Carburetor.

2. Check and adjust idle speeds as necessary.

3. Disconnect the tachometer and remove the analyzer probe from the tailpipe.

4. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly (manual transmission vehicles only).
