D. Install Jet Mixture Solenoid
1. Disconnect the Jet Mixture Solenoid electrical connector.
2. Remove the Jet Mixture Solenoid (Figure 9).
3. Insert the new green Jet Mixture Solenoid and hand tighten.
CAUTION:
If the solenoid threads seem to bind when tightening by hand, do NOT use force. Loosen and retighten to remove burrs and avoid cross threading.
4. Place the provided JMS tool on the provided inch-pound torque wrench.
NOTE:
The JMS tool must be at a 90 degree angle to the torque wrench to assure a correct torque reading.
5. Tighten the Jet Mixture Solenoid to 26 in.lbs (Figure 10).
NOTE:
Do not over tighten the Jet Mixture Solenoid since this will distort the valve and cause an over rich condition.
6. Connect the Jet Mixture Solenoid electrical connector.
