SYMPTOM/CONDITION

When using speed control, the vehicle speed increases slightly beyond the set point.

DIAGNOSIS

Test drive the car and engage the speed control. If after cresting a hill the vehicle speed increases to slightly above the speed control set point, the problem may be corrected by following the repair procedure listed below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

This condition may be caused by a high tolerance electronic control unit and a high tolerance speed control actuator. To repair this condition, the electronic control unit and the speed control actuator (servo) should be replaced with the parts listed above.
