Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

The air conditioning clutch relay is controlled by the SBEC and powered by the fan relay, A/C switch and SBEC. When the throttle position sensor sends a wide open throttle signal to the SBEC or low engine RPM is detected, the relay is energized and air conditioning clutch engagement is prevented.
