Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect 2 and 4-way connectors from the stop lamp switch.
2. Using an ohmmeter, work from the switch side of the connector with brake pedal released. Check for continuity from dark blue and red tracer, and dark blue wires.
3. Check for continuity from white with red tracer to white wires.
4. Check that there is no continuity between pink and white wires.
5. With brake pedal depressed, repeat steps 2 through 4. The results should be opposite.
6. If proper results are not obtained, the stop lamp switch must be replaced.
