Input test should be performed to verify that the input signals are normal when system malfunctions, or the speed control system cannot be set.

1. Connect a voltmeter between ground and auto-cruise control terminal of diagnostic connector, located on lower left side of instrument panel.
2. Turn ignition key to ON position, then check No. 1 and 3 of input check table.
3. START engine, and check No. 4 and 5 of the input check table.
4. Turn the Set switch to ON position while holding Resume switch ON. This enables display of the input check results.
5. Perform each input operation according to input check table then read codes. Each code will be displayed in order of priority, beginning with check No. 1. No display indicates a possible malfunction of the ECU power supply. Refer to, CIRCUIT TESTS to check ECU power supply and circuit.
