REMOVAL STEPS
1. Liftgate trim and waterproof film
2. Handle rod
3. Liftgate link assembly
4. Release handle
5. Liftgate lock actuator
6. Liftgate latch
7. Liftgate lock release switch


SERVICE POINTS OF REMOVAL





3. Removal Of Liftgate Link Assembly
Disconnect the handle rod from the liftgate link assembly and then remove the liftgate link assembly.





4. Removal Of Release Handle
Remove the nuts shown in the illustration, and then remove the release handle.





6. Removal Of Liftgate Latch
Disconnect the handle rod from the liftgate link assembly and then remove the liftgate latch.





7. Removal Of Liftgate Lock Release Switch
Insert the trim stick at the installation part of the switch, and then remove the liftgate lock release switch by prying it.

SERVICE POINTS OF INSTALLATION
6. Application Of Grease To Liftgate Latch
Apply a coating of the specified grease to the turning parts and sliding parts of the liftgate latch.

Specified grease: MOPAR Multi-Purpose Grease Part No. 2932524 or equivalent

3. Installation Of Liftgate Link Assembly
1. Apply a coating of the specified grease to the turning pants and sliding pants of the liftgate link assembly.

Specified grease: MOPAR Multi-Purpose Grease Part No. 2932524 or equivalent





2. Move the liftgate link assembly up and down and to the left and right to adjust so that the left and right liftgate latches operate evenly and moreover so that the release handle play is the standard value at the position shown in the illustration.

Standard value (A): 1-2 mm (0.04-0.08 in.)
