Inhibitor Switch (A/T)

Checking The Inhibitor Switch:

1. Disconnect the Inhibitor Switch electrical connector.

2. Check for continuity between the switch terminals # 1 and # 3 when the control shift lever is in the PARK and NEUTRAL positions. Continuity should exist in each position.
Continuity should NOT exist when the shift lever is in any of the other positions.

3. If the check result is not as specified, adjust the Inhibitor Switch and retest. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
