Wiper Switch: Service and Repair
FRONTWARNING: Removal and installation of steering wheel requires use of DRB II readout tool for air bag system check. Perform system check before connecting battery ground cable.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel, refer to Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Wheel/Service and Repair.
3. Remove two screws attaching turn signal lever cover to lock housing, then remove turn signal lever cover.
4. Remove screw attaching wiper/washer switch, then the switch.
5. Reverse procedure to install, referring to STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT R&R/STEERING WHEEL when installing steering wheel.
REAR
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove console upper bezel.
3. Pull console lower bezel until retaining clips disengage, but do not disconnect wiring.
4. Unsnap switch from underside of bezel, disconnect switch wiring, then remove switch.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
