Service Procedure
A. Remove Seat Assembly:1. Remove screws holding the two rear and one front track riser covers and separate covers from tracks.
2. Remove seat track to floorpan attaching bolts and nuts.
3. Remove the lock bar-to-floor pan anchor bolt cover and bolt.
4. Disconnect the driver seat underseat wiring connectors, if equipped.
5. Remove seat assembly from vehicle
B. Replace Lock Bar:
1. Place seat assembly on it's side on a clean surface with the lock bar facing up.
2. Remove the buckle-to-lock bar attaching screw. Discard the screw.
NOTE:
Do not remove driver's side buckle and wiring from the seat assembly.
3. Remove the lock bar from the seat cushion (Figure 1).
4. Install provided lock bar to the seat cushion using the screw attached to the new lock bar. Tighten to 100 in.-lbs.
5. Attach buckle to lock bar using provided attaching screw and spring washer.
6. Temporarily attach the lock bar to the inside front seat riser with a tie wrap.
C. Install Seat Assembly:
1. Install the seat assembly into the vehicle.
2. Connect driver seat electrical connectors, if equipped.
3. Remove tie wrap and install floorpan attaching bolts and nuts. Tighten to 250 in.lbs.
4. Install lock bar to floor pan anchor bolt and tighten to 250 in.-lbs.
5. Reinstall the two rear and one front track riser covers and tighten attaching screws to 17 in-lbs.
6. Check for proper operation of lock bar and seat belt buckle assembly.
7. Repeat Steps A through C for other front seat assembly.
