WHEEL HUB REPLACE
1. Remove axle hub in order as shown, noting following:

a. Remove driveshaft nut from hub using tool No. MB990767, or equivalent.
b. Using tool No. MB991113, or equivalent, disconnect lower arm ball joint from knuckle. Tie cord of tool to nearby part, loosen nut but do not remove.
c. Using tool No. MB991113, or equivalent, disconnect tie rod from knuckle. Tie cord of tool to nearby part, loosen nut but do not remove.

d. Using tool No. MB990241, or equivalent, push out driveshaft from front hub.

2. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

a. Install washer and driveshaft nut as shown.

b. Using tool No. MB990767, or equivalent, tighten driveshaft nut to specifications.

c. On vehicles with anti-lock brakes, install speed sensor to knuckle, insert feeler gauge into space between speed sensor pole piece and rotors toothed surface.
d. Obtain a reading between 0.012 and 0.035 inch, then tighten speed sensor.
