Fig. 2 Clutch Pedal Height (A), Freeplay & Clevis Pin Play (B) Measurements:

CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT
1. Measure clutch pedal height (A), 6.35-6.50 inches.
2. If not within specifications, adjust as follows:

a. On models less cruise control, loosen locknut and turn adjusting bolt to bring height within specifications.
b. On models with cruise control, loosen locknut and turn clutch switch to bring height within specifications.

3. Measure clutch pedal clevis pin play, should be 0.04-0.12 inch.
4. If not within specifications, adjust clutch master cylinder pushrod as necessary to bring play within specifications.

NOTE: Do not press pushrod into master cylinder when adjusting clevis pin clearance.

Fig. 5 Interlock Switch Adjustment Inspection:

5. Ensure when clutch pedal is depressed all way (5.9 inches of travel), interlock switch switches from on to off. If necessary, loosen locknut and adjust.

Fig. 4 Clutch Release Point Measurement:

6. Measure clutch pedal freeplay (B), 0.24-0.51 inch, and clutch pedal to floorboard clearance at clutch release point (C), 2.8 inches, minimum.
7. If clearance and/or freeplay are not within specifications, hydraulic system requires bleeding or clutch is faulty.
